HALO INERT
HALO INERT is a new inert hardware for HPLC. A metal-free barrier between the sample and the hardware minimises unwanted interactions between the analytes and the stainless steel surface. This hardware is ideal for phosphorylated samples and analytes that can adsorb to stainless steel. These include many biomolecules such as oligonucleotides, nucleotides and some proteins and peptides. This new hardware improves the peak shape and recovery in the samples for such analytes compared to a standard stainless steel column.
Technical Data
The HALO INERT hardware enables higher recovery rates for analytes that tend to adsorb on stainless steel. Due to lower adsorption, more of the analyte is eluted, resulting in up to 40% larger peak areas. Another effect of the lower interaction is the reduced tailing factor for analytes that interact with the stainless steel. As a result, a higher resolution can also be achieved due to narrower peaks.
