Here you will find the answers to frequently asked questions that we receive about ordering and delivery.

What advantages does the MZ online shop offer me?

The MZ online shop provides you with information on chromatography columns and accessories online around the clock. You will find more than 230,000 chromatography products listed on our website. The products can be filtered according to the most important chemical specifications so that you can easily compare HPLC columns, GC columns, SPE cartridges and other products. You will also find technical information, applications and brochures on the respective pages. If you order online, you will receive a 3% online discount on all products in the webshop. Delivery is free of charge within Germany for orders over 500 EUR.

What do I do if I can't find a product?

In addition to more than 230,000 chromatography products and 79 manufacturers in our MZ online shop, we have delivery options from more than 50 other manufacturers in the world of chromatography and accessories. Simply contact us by sending an e-mail to esales@mz-at.de or fill out our contact form. We can best help you with the article number or description of the article.

Payment and dispatch

Why can't I pay in the MZ online shop?

We receive your order when it is placed. We then check the individual payment terms, conditions and plausibility of your order and proceed with a verified order confirmation by e-mail to you. By checking the order, we can respond personally to our customers' order requests and have already avoided a number of complaints in the past.

How high are the shipping costs?

Within Germany, we ship free of shipping costs from a net value of goods of over EUR 500.00. Below this amount, we charge a flat-rate shipping fee of EUR 12.50.

If a consignment is urgent, you can choose our express delivery service, for which we charge EUR 15.00.

In other European countries we charge flat rates for parcels up to 32kg. Of course, express delivery can also be arranged for an additional charge.

Shipping costs for deliveries to other third countries are calculated according to the actual volume weight of the consignment and specified in advance. We can also use your individual courier account number for your consignment. We work together with all known carriers.

Shopping basket

How can I view the shopping basket?

You will find your shopping basket at the top of the header on the right-hand side. The symbol is a shopping basket on a blue square.

Click on the symbol and you will be taken directly to your shopping basket.

How can I add items to my shopping basket?

On each page with products you will find the product area under an introductory text. Here the products are listed in sequence and can be filtered. At the end of each product row, you have the option of adding the product to your shopping basket by clicking on the shopping basket symbol.

 

Another option is on the product detail page. Here, one product per page is presented with a picture, name, price, chemical and technical properties as well as brochures. Enter the desired quantity and click on the "Add to basket" button. The desired product is now ready for you in the shopping basket!

Can I edit my article selection at a later date?

In the shopping basket, you have the option of adjusting the quantity of the desired product and removing products. You can also change the quantity in the next step at the checkout.

How do I place my order?

As soon as you have placed the desired products in the shopping basket, click on "Checkout" to initiate the ordering process. Log in or register and then place your order using the clearly organised checkout.

Can I have the goods sent to a different delivery address?

In addition to your billing address, you can enter a different delivery address. You can also add your routing ID or cost centre in an extra field here.

Where can I make a note of my batch request?

If you have a special batch request, you can use the "Comments" field in the checkout area. You can make a note of your special wishes regarding your order there. We will take your wishes into account and note them on the individual order confirmation that will be sent to you by e-mail.

Find products

How do I find products?

Use our comprehensive search function at the top of every web page.

Search by article number

Enter the desired article number of the product. The first results will be displayed after just three characters. Press Enter to find the comprehensive results on the website.

Search by brand or manufacturer name

Enter the desired brand or manufacturer name. If a website exists, it will appear in the drop-down menu. Press Enter to find all results on the website. You can access an overview of all manufacturers from our online range via our "Manufacturers" menu item. Under the menu item "Brands" you will find all brand pages on our website sorted alphabetically.

Search for analysed substances

You can also enter the superordinate analysed substance in our search and use it to search our application pages. We have summarised applications from several manufacturers on the chromatography market on our application pages to provide an easier overview.

How can I request a quote for a product?

You will find the "Request a quote" button on the product detail page for each item. Click on the button and fill in the input fields. After submitting your enquiry, it will be sent to us and processed by our service team. You will shortly receive a reply by e-mail with your personalised quote.

Login

Do I have to log in to be able to order online?

You do not need to be logged in to place an order. You can also proceed with an order as a guest.

How can I log in?

You can create a customer account with us by clicking on the blue box with the white man at the top of the header to the right of the shopping basket.

There you can register for a customer account with us and log in.

You also have the option of entering your customer details and logging in via "Login" in the checkout area.

What do I do if I have forgotten my password?

To generate a new password, please click on the blue box with the white man at the top right of the header. Then click on "Forgot password". You can now enter your e-mail address and you will receive an e-mail with further instructions.

How can I create a user account?

To create a user account, please click on the blue box with the white man at the top right of the header. There you can register with your details and place enquiries and orders online at any time.

Why do I need a user account?

With a user account, you don't have to re-enter your billing and delivery address for every order and you save time. You can track your orders in your account and find goods you have already ordered more quickly.

General Terms and Conditions

What are the underlying terms and conditions?

All orders in the MZ online shop are subject to our AGBs. Please read them carefully before submitting your order. Our shop is a pure B2B shop.

Data protection

How confidentially will my data be treated?

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other relevant data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy. This site is designed so that no personal data is displayed or accessible to the general public. You can use this website and our online catalogues anonymously without leaving any personal data. You will only be asked to register on our website to gain access to certain functions (e.g. ordering). Personal data is only collected on this website to the extent that is technically necessary. Under no circumstances will the data collected be sold or passed on to third parties for other reasons. As you do not make any payments via our online shop, no card data is stored.

Complaints/returns

How can I complain about/return goods?

Here you will find an extract from our General Terms and Conditions:

 

(1) The following conditions apply primarily to the warranty for HPLC and GPC columns.

 

(2) The buyer must check the column upon receipt and inform us of any defects within 15 days. If a column does not function properly, we will repack or replace the column at no cost to the buyer. In the event of a return, we must first agree to this. Faulty columns must be accompanied by a written explanation of the defect. We provide a questionnaire for this purpose.

 

(3) The warranty for the properties of the columns is limited to the parameters of the original test chromatogram. If the end fittings of the columns have been removed, no warranty can be accepted. In particular, no warranty is given for damage caused by improper use by the purchaser.

 

(4) Unless otherwise agreed, the warranty period is limited to a maximum of 90 days. However, a return and a refund of the purchase price or credit note are only possible within 45 days and only with our prior consent.

How can I be guaranteed excellent quality?

We strive for the highest quality every day with our in-house manufactured products, our service and our processes.

HPLC and GPC columns from our own production are individually tested and provided with a certificate of analysis that guarantees fulfilment of our chemical specifications. We also supply third-party products with certificates of analysis, which are provided by the respective manufacturers.

 

Our business and production processes are certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015 by GZQ, so we guarantee excellent quality in all our areas.

How long do I have to wait for my order?

If you have placed an order with us, you will receive either an order confirmation or a pro forma invoice with your individual conditions by e-mail. This document will also give you an initial indication of the delivery date. Should there be a delay, we will contact you with the updated delivery date for your order. Products from our MZ production usually have a delivery time of 2-3 working days.

My order hasn't arrived yet, what can I do?

Please contact our MZ team by phone or e-mail (esales@mz-at.de). We will take care of an updated delivery date or a solution as quickly as possible.
