Life-Science

Life sciences are an interdisciplinary field of research that deals with the study of living organisms, their structures, functions and interactions. This broad field encompasses areas such as biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, genetics, medicine and pharmacy.

An essential aspect of life sciences is the purification of proteins and antibodies and also the digestion of proteins (protein digestion) for subsequent peptide mapping. Proteins and antibodies play a crucial role in biological processes and are often the subject of intensive research. The purification or digestion of these biomolecules is an important step in characterising them, understanding their function and using them for various applications.
