SFC Columns
SFC columns (Supercritical Fluid Chromatography columns) are specialised columns used in SFC technology. This technique utilises supercritical fluid as a mobile phase, usually CO2, to achieve efficient separation of components. SFC columns are designed similarly to HPLC columns, but must accommodate the unique properties of the supercritical fluid. They offer advantages in the separation and analysis of low volatile, thermally labile or very polar substances and are used in areas such as pharmaceuticals, environmental analysis and food chemistry.
