Silica Gel G & GF UNIPLATES are soft layer plates and are the most widely used TLC plates. There were no organic substances used in the manufacturing process, make these plates suitable for sulfuric acid charring visualization. The “G” stands for gypsum, that is the binder for the particles on the glass support. A maximum water content of 20% is recommended because of the solubility of the gypsum. The “F” indicates the suitability for UV detection at 254nm.
