Prevail™ HPLC columns, manufactured by Hichrom, exhibit long column lifetime in both highly aqueous and highly organic mobile phases. The stability of these phases is such that a single column can be switched between highly aqueous for analysis of highly polar analytes and highly organic for strong retention of hydrophobic analytes. All phases, apart from Prevail Carbohydrate ES are based on spherical silica-gel with 110 Å pore size.
The original developer and manufacturer of these columns was Grace Vydac. Since May 2016, the new manufacturer is the britain specialist Hichrom Ltd.
Prevail™ Organic Acid is an application-specific HPLC column for the efficient separation of organic acids. Prevail™ Carbohydrate ES is a hybrid phase for the analysis of carbohydrates and related compounds.
