Shodex Sugar Analysis
Shodex is a manufacturer of various columns for the analysis of sugars and related compounds.
The Asahipak NH2P and HILICpak columns are specially developed for hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC). They are particularly suitable for the analysis of hydrophilic substances, e.g. sugars. The Asahipak NH2P and all HILICpak columns are based on polyvinyl alcohol with different modifications.
Shodex columns of the SUGAR series are special columns for sugar analysis. The separation mechanism is mainly based on ligand exchange and ion exclusion chromatography. However, depending on the eluent and the stationary phase, size exclusion, reversed phase and normal phase interactions can also contribute to the separation.
