Guards & Filters
Guard columns, guard catridges or filters should always be used to protect the analytical and preparative column and to extend the service life of the column. The stationary phase used should ideally be matched to the phase in the analytical column in terms of both particle size and bound stationary phase. We therefore recommend that you use the manufacturer or brand name to find the right column guard for the column you are using.
Either HPLC filters with 2µm frits or UHPLC filters with 0.5µm frits are used as filters, these are independent of the column material. Click here for an overview of manufacturers and brands. Below you will find our in-house pre-columns and cartridges, as well as HPLC and UHPLC filters for your application.
