Capcell PAK

Capcell-Pak HPLC columns are produced by the Japanese manufacturer Osaka-Soda. The columns used to belong to the Shiseido Company, whose chromatography division was taken over by Osaka Soda in 2017. The base silica gel of these columns is first homogeneously coated with a silicone polymer. This is followed by the actual modification (e.g. with alkyl groups), which shield virtually any acidic silanol. As a result, the phases are mechanically very stable and exhibit increased pH stability. All phases, with the exception of the Capcell-Pak AG series, are based on high-purity type B silica gel.
