Daicel DCpak
DCpak columns from Chiral Technologies - Daicel are non-chiral columns. All three different phases in this series are based on 3 or 5 µm silica. Instead of an ordinary ligand on the surface, all phases have a polymer as the functional group. This leads to a different selectivity and gives these columns a special property.

DCpak PBT can separate a broad range of compounds and structural or positional isomers. The phase is based on polybutylene terephthalate and can separate cis/trans-isomers and aromatic substitutional isomers such as flavonoids, caffeine derivatives and terpenes.
DCpak P4VP columns offer an advantage over commercial 2-ethylpyridine columns. The poly(4-vinylpyridine) modified SFC columns provide a higher resolving power and superior durability compared to 2-EP (2-ethylpyridine). This phase can be used to effectively separate basic and acidic compounds without additives like acids, bases and salts.
DCpak PTZ columns are HILIC columns with a new tetrazole modification on the surface. This offers stronger retention for hydrophilic compounds and superior molecular shape recognition. The columns have many applications in the glycomics, proteomics and metabolomics field.
