HALO PCS Phenyl-Hexyl

The HALO PCS Phenyl-Hexyl from AMT (Advanced Material Technologies) is a stationary phase with a positively charged surface (PCS) and a phenyl-hexyl functional group. This positive charge has a particular effect on bases. At low pH values, the bases are positively charged and are repelled by the stationary phase, which leads to better peak shapes, especially at higher loadings. This positive charge also makes the stationary phase ideally suited for mobile phases with a low ionic strength, making this phase ideal for LC-MS.
