Supelcosil
Supelcosil™ is a family of HPLC columns, manufactured by Supelco™ (Sigma-Aldrich™). The Phases based on spherical type-A silica, which is available in many different modifications for various separation techniques, e.g. Reversed-Phase‒, Normal-Phase‒ or Ion-Exchange-Chromatography.
Technical Data
Supelcosil™ LC-DB phases are specially deactivated for basic compounds. These columns provide good peak shape and high efficiency for organic bases.
Supelcosil™ ABZ+Plus is a polar-embedded phase with high deactivation and unique selectivity. ABZ+Plus enables high efficiency separations of acids, bases, zwitterions and other difficult compounds.
Supelcosil™ LC-18-S, LC-18-T and LC-PAH are application-specific columns for the analysis of nucleosides, nucleotides or polyaromatic hydrocarbons.
With the Supelcosil Hisep, there is also a mixed-mode column that possesses a shielded hydrophobic phase. Here, the silica-gel is coated by a thin polymer layer with hydrophobic regions in a hydrophilic network. Thus, small analytes can be retarded and proteins are excluded.
